Base pay range

$105,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

Procurement Manager – Food Industry (International Import Expertise)

1-2x a week in office--HYBRID

• Lead global sourcing and procurement of food products and ingredients.
• Build and manage strong international supplier relationships, ensuring quality, compliance, and sustainability.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with a focus on long-term partnerships and cost optimization.
• Oversee end-to-end import processes—including customs, logistics, and trade compliance.
• Partner cross-functionally with Quality, R&D, and Operations teams to meet production and innovation goals.
• Monitor market trends, global risks, and regulatory changes to proactively adapt sourcing strategies.
• Manage purchasing KPIs, budget, and reporting tools within ERP systems.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in food industry procurement, with strong exposure to international sourcing and import regulations.
• Solid knowledge of Incoterms, FDA/USDA regulations, GFSI standards, and global trade compliance.
• Proven ability to lead vendor negotiations and manage complex, multi-country supply chains.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Food Science, or related field (Master’s a plus).

• Experience with perishable goods and cold chain logistics.
