Job summary

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. in Raceland, LA is seeking a Procurement Manager with extensive experience in procurement, manufacturing, or fabrication operations supervision.

You will lead sourcing programs and help develop and implement procurement procedures approved by Executive Management. The role requires at least 7 years in related supervisory roles, strong supplier relations, and a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of Procurement, Manufacturing or Fabrication Operational Supervisory experience.
• Minimum 3 years of direct supervision experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares RFPs for various commodities.
• Acts as liaison between purchasing agents and BOA vendors.
• Evaluates requests to add vendors to the AVL.
• Solicits quotes/specifications for equipment and capital expenditures; submits recommendations to Executive Management.
• Coordinates standardization of consumable commodities.
• Adheres to company policies, including safety, environmental, and quality systems.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
• Works overtime as required.
• Maintains punctual daily attendance.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Manager with at least 7 years of Procurement, Manufacturing or Fabrication Operational Supervisory experience. The candidate will coordinate sourcing programs and serve as the lead for developing and implementing Executive Management approved procurement procedures and practices.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 3 years of direct supervision required

SKILLS

• Deep knowledge of procurement operations and strategic sourcing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with others

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares Requests for Proposal (RFP) for various commodities
• Acts as liaison between purchasing agents and Basic Ordering Agreements (BOA) vendors
• Evaluates requests to add vendors to the Approved Vendor List (AVL)
• Solicits quotes/specifications for equipment and capital expenditures; submits recommendations to Executive Management
• Coordinates standardization of consumable commodities
• Adheres to company policies, including safety, environmental, and quality systems
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by management
• Works overtime as required
• Maintains punctual daily attendance
