Job summary

Bollinger Shipyards in Raceland, LA seeks a Procurement Manager to coordinate sourcing programs and lead the development and implementation of Executive Management approved procurement procedures and practices.

The role will oversee RFPs, liaise between purchasing agents and BOA vendors, evaluate AVL vendors, and standardize consumables while ensuring safety and quality systems. This position requires teamwork and a commitment to supply chain excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of procurement, manufacturing or fabrication operational supervisory experience required.
• 3+ years of direct supervision required.

• Prepares Requests for Proposal (RFP) for various commodities.
• Acts as liaison between purchasing agents and BOA vendors.
• Evaluates requests to add vendors to the Approved Vendor List (AVL).
• Solicits quotes/specifications for equipment and capital expenditures; submits recommendations to Executive Management.
• Coordinates standardization of consumable commodities.
• Adheres to company policies, including safety, environmental, and quality systems.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
• Works overtime as required.
• Maintains punctual daily attendance.

• Acts as liaison between purchasing agents and Basic Ordering Agreements (BOA) vendors.


• Evaluates requests to add vendors to the Approved Vendor List (AVL).


• Solicits quotes/specifications for equipment and capital expenditures; submits recommendations to Executive Management.


• Coordinates standardization of consumable commodities.


• Adheres to company policies, including safety, environmental, and quality systems.


• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by management.


• Works overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of Procurement, Manufacturing or Fabrication Operational Supervisory experience required.


• Three (3)+ years of direct supervision required.
