Job summary

Adams Limitless in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead a high-performing procurement team and transform sourcing. You will guide vendor negotiations, manage POs and logistics, and build KPI dashboards to monitor supplier performance, cost, and delivery reliability.

You will partner with sales, operations, and finance to optimize inventory, reduce costs, and scale global sourcing, while fostering continuous improvement and a strong people-first culture.

• Optimize on-time delivery, inventory planning, and procurement from global suppliers.
• Drive cost savings through smarter purchasing and vendor negotiations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth flow of materials.
• Manage logistics and international shipping coordination.
• Evaluate supplier contracts for performance and risk.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for purchasing.
• Forecast future material needs and report market trends to leadership.

This is a critical leadership role—you'll oversee a high-performing team of buyers while driving process improvement, building out KPIs, managing domestic and international logistics, and helping the business scale through smarter procurement.

• Drive cost savings through smarter purchasing methods and vendor negotiations
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, finance, warehouse) to ensure smooth flow of materials
• Manage logistics, freight claims, and domestic/international shipping coordination
• Evaluate supplier contracts for performance, compliance, and risk
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the purchasing function
• Help forecast future material needs and report market trends to senior leadership

Requirements

Who You Are

• Proven experience in purchasing/procurement leadership (preferably in manufacturing or distribution)
• Strategic mindset with hands-on ability to execute and lead a team
• Strong understanding of supply chain, vendor negotiations, and logistics
• Excellent with numbers, systems, and reporting
• Clear communicator who can build trust with vendors and lead internal collaboration
• Familiar with procurement metrics and continuous improvement practices
• Comfortable managing change and building out better processes

Bonus If You Have

• Experience sourcing from India or international markets
• Background in flexible flow operations
• Certifications like APICS or CPIM
• Familiarity with ERP systems and implementations
