Job description

Procurement Manager

Austin, TX

$95,000 – $120,000 / year base

OVERVIEW

A growing real estate development company is hiring a Procurement Manager to turn design intent into finished, installed spaces across its pipeline of ground‑up developments and renovation projects. You’ll own FF&E sourcing and purchasing end to end — from vendor selection through freight, customs, and final on‑site installation — for luxury multifamily, student housing, and mixed‑use properties.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who can run procurement logistics at scale while also building and leading a team to do the same.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Source, purchase, and manage FF&E (furniture, fixtures & equipment) for ground‑up developments and renovation projects
  • Own the full procurement cycle — vendor selection, purchase orders, freight, customs clearance, and on‑site delivery/installation
  • Coordinate directly with design teams to turn design intent into real, installed spaces on schedule and on budget
  • Manage, train, and delegate across a procurement team, balancing hands‑on execution with team leadership
  • Support acquisitions assessments and renovation scope planning with procurement‑side input on cost and timeline
  • Oversee creative art installation and styling programs for completed properties
  • Track purchase orders, lead times, and vendor performance across multiple concurrent projects
  • Troubleshoot shipping delays, damaged goods, and vendor issues to keep installation schedules on track
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships that support quality, pricing, and reliability across the portfolio
WHY YOU MATTER

Every finished unit, amenity space, and lobby depends on the right furniture and fixtures showing up on time, intact, and on budget. You’re the one making sure design plans actually become real spaces — without blown budgets, missed move‑in dates, or last‑minute scrambles.

WHAT IT TAKES
  • 4+ years of experience in FF&E procurement, purchasing, or sourcing for interior design, hospitality, multifamily, or commercial projects
  • Hands‑on experience managing freight, customs clearance, and delivery logistics for large‑scale installations
  • Experience managing or mentoring a procurement team, not just running your own purchase orders
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable juggling multiple active projects and deadlines at once
  • Sharp attention to detail — a damaged or late shipment can hold up an entire move‑in
  • Experience supporting acquisitions assessments or renovation scoping is a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills across design, construction, and ownership teams
THE PERKS!
  • Discretionary annual performance/project bonus (~15% target)
  • Full corporate medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • PTO and paid holidays
