Job summary

CiresiMorek is seeking a seasoned procurement leader to oversee sourcing, supplier relationships, and procurement activities supporting efficient and cost-effective manufacturing operations in Akron, OH.

The role requires overseeing supplier sourcing, contracting, purchasing, and performance management while collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and other departments to ensure reliability and continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–7+ years of procurement or supply chain experience.
• Preferred: experience supporting procurement activities within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with ERP and procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Coupa.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities, including supplier sourcing, contracting, purchasing, and performance management.
• Develop sourcing strategies and competitive proposals to improve supplier value and cost efficiency.
• Negotiate pricing, service agreements, and contract terms with key suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve service issues, and ensure operational continuity.
• Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement priorities with business needs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while improving purchasing processes and supplier accountability.
