Job summary

Adecco is seeking an experienced Materials & Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, and materials control within a manufacturing setting. This role aims to optimize material availability, reduce procurement costs, and improve supplier performance to support production requirements.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience purchasing materials for manufacturing, strong ERP/MRP skills (Epicor Kinetic preferred), and a collaborative approach with Engineering,

Qualifications

• 15+ years of procurement and materials management experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; Epicor Kinetic experience preferred.
• Experience with strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, inventory management, and manufacturing material requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate costs, improve supplier performance, and implement procurement improvements.
• Experience collaborating with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• APICS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives to reduce costs and improve supplier performance.
• Manage procurement of materials, components, and services supporting manufacturing operations.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage purchasing, inventory accuracy, material requirements, and supplier delivery schedules.
• Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, lead times, and purchasing agreements.
• Develop supplier scorecards and monitor quality, cost, and on-time delivery performance.
• Oversee inventory control processes, material transactions, and receiving accuracy.
• Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing on cost reduction initiatives and make-versus-buy decisions.
• Analyze purchasing trends, material costs, inventory levels, and supplier performance to identify improvement opportunities.
