Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc is seeking a Legal Counsel – Procurement in Novi, MI for a hybrid role with minimum two days in the office. You will support sourcing, supply chain, and procurement teams, negotiating supplier agreements while managing risks and ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and related U.S.

government programs. You will work with stakeholders to establish and enforce contract templates, playbooks, and governance processes, ensuring a resilient and compliant procurement function across

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor's with 5 years of relevant experience, OR Master’s with 3 years of relevant experience, OR JD/PhD.
• Must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support for sourcing initiatives and procurement transactions, including escalation and approval forums.
• Advise procurement leadership and business functions as an embedded partner with understanding of cost structure, supply continuity, and risk appetite.
• Develop and maintain purchasing terms, risk standards, playbooks, and contract templates (master supply, tooling, development, and quality agreements).
• Manage supplier risk, including distressed or insolvent suppliers and single-/sole-source situations, and supply-chain continuity for government programs.
