Job summary

Westlake Chemical seeks an experienced procurement leader to mentor the plant's procurement organization, oversee raw material supply plans, and drive best-in-class sourcing aligned with corporate objectives. You will manage RFx processes, supplier relationships and contracts to ensure production continuity and cost competitiveness.

This role requires a BS in Engineering or related field and 10+ years of progressive purchasing and management experience, strong analytics, and proficiency with ERP

Qualifications

• Leadership and management of procurement organizations
• Experience leading RFx, negotiations, supplier sourcing and contracts
• Strong analytical and communication skills; proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and accounting applications

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, mentoring and training to the designated supply chain organization.
• Supervises team member’s quotes and purchases of materials and services insuring best practices.
• Lead RFx, negotiations, supplier sourcing, contracts and compliance management for plant specific requirements.
• Develop and oversee raw material supply plans coordinating with operations, supply chain, and finance.
• Direct team activities related to raw material requirements planning (MRP).
• Drive supply chain efficiency through best practices and automation of spend.
• Establish and lead cross functional teams for sourcing strategies.
• Manage supplier relationships and scorecards to drive improvements.
