Job summary

Sunseeker Property Service in Chicago seeks an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead the procurement team for a family-owned beverage co-manufacturer. You will own sourcing for ingredients and packaging, manage a 5-person team, and partner with customers and internal stakeholders to strengthen supplier management and inventory health.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you will develop KPIs, negotiate with suppliers, and drive continuous improvement while aligning material availability

Qualifications

• 5+ years of people leadership experience.
• 5+ years purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience sourcing raw materials, ideally food ingredients and/or packaging.
• Strong inventory management, including shelf life and stock optimization.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations.
• Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and engaging with customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement function and build a scalable purchasing organization.
• Coach a five-person procurement team with clear accountability.
• Own sourcing and purchasing strategy for raw materials.
• Lead supplier negotiations, contracts, and performance improvement.
• Partner with Inventory Management to optimize stock turns and shelf life.
• Manage supplier risk, market volatility, and lead times.
• Collaborate with Planning, Production, Quality, Finance, and Sales.
• Ensure master data integrity in Microsoft D365.
• Develop KPIs related to cost, service, and supplier performance.
• Lead continuous improvement across procurement processes.
