Job summary

FPC of Savannah is seeking a Purchasing Manager in Goodyear, AZ to lead procurement, supplier management, and materials planning, ensuring continuity of supply while optimizing cost, quality, service, and working capital.

You will develop category and supplier strategies for direct materials and indirect goods, partner cross-functionally to support production and customer commitments, and lead a high‑performing, data‑driven procurement team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain experience (CPG or Food & Beverage preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of people-leadership experience.
• Proven experience leading supplier negotiations, cost-reduction programs, and supplier performance management.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies aligned with business goals and production needs.
• Lead sourcing events, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contract management.
• Deliver sustainable savings and cost avoidance through supplier rationalization and TCO.
• Monitor capacity, lead-time, geopolitical, and supplier risks; dual-source where appropriate.
• Build strategic supplier relationships and conduct regular business reviews.
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure material availability and support customer commitments.
• Optimize inventory policies and ensure POs reflect approved terms.
• Drive procurement analytics, budgets, dashboards, and executive reporting.
• Standardize procurement policies and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and develop the purchasing team.

The role develops category and supplier strategies for direct raw materials, packaging, ingredients, and Supplies/indirect goods and services; partners cross-functionally to support production, customer requirements, and profitable growth. Leads a high-performing, data-driven procurement team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop procurement strategies that mesh with business goals, customer and production needs.
• Lead sourcing events, supplier evaluation and selection, negotiations and contract management.
• Deliver sustainable savings and cost avoidance through supplier rationalization and TCO.
• Monitor capacity, lead-time, geopolitical, and supplier risks to dual source when appropriate.
• Build strategic supplier relationships and conduct regular business reviews.
• Partner cross-functionally to maintain material availability and support customer commitments.
• Optimize inventory policies while ensuring purchase orders accurately reflect approved terms.
• Drive procurement analytics, forecasts, budgets, dashboards, and executive reporting, including purchase price variance, realized savings, supplier performance, and material availability.
• Standardize procurement policies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and quality, safety, ethical sourcing and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and develop the purchasing team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain experience, including in CPG or Food & Beverage.

• Proven experience leading supplier negotiations, cost-reduction programs, and supplier performance management.
