Job summary

LeoLabs is seeking a Procurement Specialist for its hybrid role in Menlo Park, CA, to support R&D, prototype development, and NPI. You will translate engineering needs into actionable sourcing plans and manage suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, cost controls, and compliance.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in procurement within fast-paced development settings, strong negotiation skills, and experience with ERP systems. This role offers growth in a high-growth aerospace tech company.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
7+ years of procurement/sourcing experience including R&D or prototype environments.
Ability to manage competing procurement priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Experience procuring materials, components, equipment, and services for development programs.
Experience soliciting quotes, evaluating proposals, and issuing POs.

Responsibilities

Procure technical components, materials, equipment, and services for R&D, prototype, testing, and manufacturing.
Translate requirements, schedules, and budgets into sourcing and purchasing plans.
Identify, onboard, and manage suppliers for development and low-volume production.
Negotiate pricing and terms; issue purchase orders aligned with needs and approvals.
Monitor supplier performance, risks, and lead times; escalate constraints as needed.
Support long-lead material planning and alternate sourcing for prototypes.
Maintain procurement records; ensure compliance with policies and government requirements.
Improve workflows, cost controls, data accuracy, and supply chain resilience.
