Job description

Position Summary

The Procurement Intern will support the Tuna Procurement team by assisting with tuna sourcing and sustainability activities, cost management, and invoice processing within SAP. This role provides hands‑on exposure to global seafood procurement operations and requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work across cultures. The ideal candidate is fluent in Spanish, has the ability for international travel, and is interested in building a career in procurement, supply chain, or sourcing.

This internship may be eligible for consideration as a full‑time position upon successful completion, based on performance, business needs, and role availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Tuna Procurement team with day‑to‑day sourcing and procurement activities.
  • Assist with cost tracking, cost analysis, and cost management related to tuna procurement.
  • Process, review, and reconcile supplier invoices in SAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Procurement, Sustainability, Operations) to resolve invoice or pricing discrepancies.
  • Support supplier communications, including coordination with Spanish‑speaking vendors.
  • Assist with documentation, reporting, and data entry related to procurement activities.
  • Participate in special projects related to sourcing strategy, supplier performance, or process improvement.

Compensation

The pay for this internship is $24.00 – $25.00 per hour, subject to modification by Bumble Bee Foods, LLC.
