Job summary

BARNES AEROSPACE, East Granby OEM, invites applications for a Procurement Intern role supporting the supply chain transformation in Granby, CT. You will be a self-driven student (rising junior or senior) thriving in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include day-to-day purchasing support for direct materials and services, data analysis and reports, supplier follow-up, RFQs, sourcing, and maintenance of ERP and supplier records; contribute to supplier performance and onboarding processes.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university as a rising junior or senior.
• Preferred majors include Integrated Supply Chain Management, IT, Engineering, Business or Materials Management.
• Familiarity with Excel (advanced) and Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day purchasing activities for direct material, outside services, and indirect requirements.
• Analyze purchasing data and prepare reports on PO placement, supplier delivery, spend and market trends.
• Assist buyers with supplier follow-up, including acknowledgments and lead times.
• Support RFQ and sourcing activities and maintain sourcing records.
