Job summary

ABB drives motion products in the US, focused on cost, quality, and supplier reliability. The role leads a team to execute procurement and logistics strategies aligned with ABB objectives.

You will optimize supplier performance, manage planning and budgets, and ensure material availability for daily manufacturing and inventory planning while traveling up to 20% domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering or related field and 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, procurement, planning and/or operational excellence in the electronics industry / EMS suppliers.
• Demonstrated track record of team leadership, mentorship or formal training required.
• Excellent internal and external relationship management and collaboration with suppliers, engineers and customer service.
• Highly knowledgeable in SAP ECC, SAP S4 Hana, Ariba, Celonis and business intelligence tools.
• This role involves 20% domestic and international travel, requiring a valid US Driver’s License and US Passport.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to execute purchasing and logistics strategies that optimize costs, quality, and supplier reliability.
• Secure full utilization of SAP Ariba and supplier information sharing per procedures.
• Plan and track procurement activities, cost budgets, and savings forecasts.
• Ensure material availability for daily manufacturing and inventory planning.
• Coordinate supply chain practices across manufacturing lines to ensure cost-effective logistics.
