Procurement Engineering Manager
We’re seeking a Procurement Engineering Manager to lead a small, high‑impact team responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of commercial components used in a first‑of‑its‑kind medical isotope facility onsite in Janesville, Wisconsin.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in highly regulated, test‑driven environments—whether that’s nuclear, medical device, aerospace, or energy—and who has a passion for developing and mentoring engineers while ensuring technical precision.
Base pay range
$155,000.00/yr - $185,000.00/yr
Additional compensation types

Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small team of procurement and test engineers responsible for qualifying commercial products for safety‑related use.
- Develop and approve Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD), seismic qualification, and environmental qualification plans.
- Guide and mentor lab technicians through test setup, troubleshooting, and data reporting.
- Ensure all work meets ASME NQA‑1 and NRC quality and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Controls, and the Commercial Grade Dedication Lab to align testing and procurement strategies.
- Oversee receipt inspection and quality verification of purchased items.
- Provide engineering dispositions for nonconforming materials (OSDD reports).
- Manage budgets, schedules, and forecasts for dedication and qualification activities—ensuring deadlines and compliance targets are met.
- Continuously improve processes and train team members on dedication, inspection, and testing procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 10–15+ years of experience in a highly regulated testing or qualification environment (nuclear, medical device, oil & gas, energy, aerospace, or similar).
- Deep understanding of Commercial Grade Dedication (EPRI NP5652) and ASME NQA‑1 standards.
- Experience in equipment qualification (seismic, mechanical, environmental, or materials testing).
