Sandalwood Engineering & Ergonomics is seeking a Procurement Engineer to drive turnkey material-handling and ergonomic solutions in manufacturing. You will lead projects from concept through installation, coordinating suppliers, teams, and budgets to deliver safe, efficient outcomes.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in engineering project management, experience with capital equipment procurement, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 5+ years of experience managing engineering projects in manufacturing.
• Experience leading capital equipment procurement and supplier selection.
• Experience with external suppliers, integrators, and equipment manufacturers.
• Project management experience including budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and stakeholder collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience supporting equipment installation, commissioning, and final buyoff.
• English proficiency for professional work.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of manufacturing, ergonomic, and material-handling solutions.
• Develop and evaluate concepts and turnkey solutions to reduce ergonomic risk and boost efficiency.
• Coordinate supplier sourcing activities: identification, RFQs, evaluation, and selection.
• Collaborate with suppliers to engineer, design, manufacture, install, and validate solutions.
• Manage project budgets, procurement activities, timelines, and schedules.
• Lead design reviews and stakeholder meetings for project alignment.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple departments.
• Oversee equipment installation, runoff activities, and final acceptance.
• Ensure proposed and installed solutions meet ergonomic, safety, quality, and ops requirements.
• Develop project documentation, specs, implementation plans, and supplier metrics.
• Support training and change management for new equipment and processes.
• Track project status, risks, and actions, and report to stakeholders.
• Serve as technical liaison between suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
