Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Ohio seeks a Procurement Engineer to advance generation technology applications across fossil, solar, battery and nuclear assets. You will manage projects, justify economics, and provide fleetwide technical support to improve plant performance.

The role requires 8+ years in power-plant operations or engineering, strong communication skills, and the ability to execute with some oversight. Based at Davis-Besse and other sites.

Qualifications

• BS or greater in an Engineering discipline.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or equivalent experience.
• Experience with fossil, solar, battery, or nuclear plant technologies.
• Minimum 8 years experience in power plant operations/engineering.
• Strong communication with peers and management.
• Ability to execute projects with some oversight.
• Demonstrated high performance in evaluations or external candidate history.

Responsibilities

• Technical support for development of commercial/environmental/reliability/sustainability interests in new technology applications.
• Technical support to Operations in application of technologies at operating plants or plants in development.
• Perform root cause analysis.
• Provide innovative solutions for difficult problems.
• Contributes to economic justification/analysis for projects.
• Participate in and lead special projects or teams.
