Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Perry, Ohio seeks an Electrical/I&C Engineer to provide technical expertise and operational support across nuclear plant systems, including transmitters, control circuits, relays, radiation monitors, power supplies, transformers, and plant software.

The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and efficient plant operations, requiring strong teamwork, communications, and problem-solving to troubleshoot, evaluate alternatives, and lead projects as needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred) or related field used in power plant operations.
• Physical ability to support plant walkdowns and inspections.
• Proficiency in PC use, engineering applications, and drawing interpretation.
• Minimum 2 years related experience; 6 years preferred.
• Nuclear industry experience is favorable.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration across boundaries.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for complex issues.
• Ability to influence and build cross-department relationships.
• Deep understanding of power plant equipment and interactions.
• Ability to evaluate technical alternatives considering economic impact.
• Structured problem-solving methodologies applied to complex issues.

Responsabilités

• Support resolution of emergent, short-cycle, and near-term engineering work to protect the work week schedule.
• Serve as engineering point of contact for online work week schedule execution and Engineering Holds resolution.
• Provide engineering input for Operability evaluations and post-work testing.
• Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis (e.g., FMEA).
• Prepare and present technical reports with recommendations for issue resolution.
• Coordinate projects, studies, and initiatives through completion.
• Comply with safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist with planning and in-field activities as needed.
