Job summary

Seaboard Foods is seeking a purchasing and inventory control professional to procure materials and ingredients for a pork processing facility in Oklahoma. You will oversee a team, manage order processing and vendor relations, and collaborate with finance to ensure timely payments.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 2+ years in supply or accounting, ERP experience, and strong data processing and Lean manufacturing knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with at least two years of supply or accounting experience.
• Experience in purchasing and inventory control management.
• Proficient in data processing and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with ERP systems and Lean Manufacturing methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Gemba).

Responsibilities

• Procure materials and ingredients to support production of high quality pork products.
• Provide direction and oversight to orders processing, receiving, and inventory control.
• Collaborate with management and vendors to meet business objectives and establish min/max levels.
• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders; coordinate with AP to ensure timely invoicing and payments.
• Maintain SQF vendor files and deliver timely reports with key metrics.
• Train and develop purchasing/receiving team and ensure compliance with quality standards.
