Job summary

Seaboard Foods is seeking a hands-on farm supervisor to plan, direct, and coordinate day-to-day activities across multiple farm sites in Texas. You will train staff, audit operations, and maintain detailed records on animals and personnel to ensure targets are met.

The role emphasizes health and safety, cost control, and efficient scheduling, with opportunities for growth and professional development. Experience in swine production preferred.

Qualifications

  • An Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred; or 1-2 years of swine production experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety files, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish skills are preferred.
  • Clear motor vehicle record (MVR)

Responsibilities

  • Train employees on day-to-day processes and procedures, develop a competent workforce by utilizing hands-on training methods, providing constructive and timely feedback, and offering opportunities for individual growth.
  • Perform audits of the farm to ensure all standard operating procedures are being followed and facilities are in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of animals, personnel, and supplies on the farm
  • Ensure health and safety of employees and animals at the facility, submit detailed reports, and track feed and ration staging for animals
  • Manage all controllable cost, including supplies, labor, medication, etc.
  • Creating and managing employee work schedules if applicable
