Job summary

XNRGY Climate Systems, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Engineer with a strong foundation in industrial engineering and supplier management.

You will analyze drawings, BOMs, and specs to evaluate supplier proposals, and drive cost modeling, VA/VE, and TCO analyses to inform sourcing decisions. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure supplier readiness, support NPI and ramp-up, and manage qualification activities including APQP-style processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• At least five years of progressive experience in procurement engineering, supplier sourcing, supply chain, or manufacturing engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience conducting RFQ/RFP processes, supplier sourcing, and supplier negotiations for engineered components or manufactured products.
• Analyzing cost structures, including total cost of ownership (TCO), should-cost modeling, VA/VE, or similar cost analysis methodologies.
• Working with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and BOMs; interpreting supplier capabilities and production readiness.
• Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to support sourcing and supplier selection decisions; supporting NPI or ramp-up activities.
• Utilizing ERP systems and data analysis tools to manage procurement, supplier, cost, or supply chain data.
• Experience with APQP or similar product quality development processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and BOMs to evaluate supplier proposals and ensure design compliance.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, processes, capacity, and quality systems.
• Perform should-cost analysis and VA/VE to support sourcing decisions.
• Conduct technical sourcing for fabricated parts and electrical components.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain to support development and production readiness.
• Support NPI and production ramp-up activities; qualification and corrective action initiatives.
• Analyze supply market conditions, risks, lead times, and capacity constraints; provide data-driven recommendations.
