Komatsu America Corp. is seeking a Purchasing/Materials professional in Peoria, IL to build and manage supplier relationships and ensure service parts support beyond manufacturing life cycle.
You will assess supplier performance, negotiate terms, and drive TCO analyses to optimize costs and quality while aligning with PMO requirements. Key duties include supplier negotiations, on-site assessments, and developing sourcing strategies.
Onsite or Remote: Onsite Position
To build and manage supplier relationships in order to meet or exceed Parts Division goals respective to costs, quality, availability and inventory. Work/collaborate with manufacturing plant personnel to ensure that the supply base understands the need for service parts support beyond manufacturing life cycle as well as the utilization of qualified/certified suppliers.
Assessing and matching supplier performance capabilities with PMO requirements, negotiating terms and conditions, measuring supplier effectiveness, taking corrective action measures, developing new suppliers and eliminating non-performing or redundant suppliers as allowed under the Corporate Quality Control process.
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $78,500 - $98,100. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
