Job summary

Komatsu is hiring in Chattanooga to manage maintenance operations, establish part levels, and support continuous improvement. You will work with maintenance teams across shops to implement PM schedules and control costs, while ensuring safety and quality across equipment, robotics, and production lines.

Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, troubleshooting, and experience with SAP and MS Office to plan PMs and procure parts.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain replacement part levels and inventory.
  • Assist maintenance personnel with maintenance activities in all shops.
  • Assist in creating and implementing PM schedules.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts in a team environment.
  • Develop methods to track maintenance costs and downtime.
  • Identify and resolve maintenance process problems.
  • Lead 5S, safety, and quality activities.
  • Handle building and grounds, robots, machine centers, forklifts, shotblasts, paint booths, and all production equipment.
  • Support Komatsu Way.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain replacement part levels and inventory.
  • Assist Maintenance Personnel with Maintenance Activities in all shops.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of PM Schedules and Maintenance Improvements.
  • Work to achieve department and company goals by supporting the continued improvement efforts in a team environment.
  • Develop methods and tools to better track maintenance costs and downtime.
  • Identify and resolve maintenance problems in processes.
  • Perform evaluation and documentation for all processes.
  • Take a leading role in 5 S, Safety, and Quality Activities.
  • Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, Building and Grounds, Robots, Machine Centers, Forklifts, Shotblasts, Paint Booths, and all other Production Equipment.
  • Understand and support Komatsu Way
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of the manufacturing processes.
  • Must have the ability to understand the importance of Preventative Maintenance standards and procedures.
  • Must have the knowledge and ability to assist Maintenance workers in troubleshooting of machines and equipment.
  • Must have the personality and ability to work with outside vendors and resolve issues between different parties.
  • Must have good knowledge of process equipment currently used for production.
  • Must have some experience using Microsoft Office & SAP in order to create PM Schedules and Purchase Replacement Parts
