Job summary

Cadence is seeking a data governance professional in California to drive governance frameworks, policies, and data quality programs. You will collaborate with stakeholders, apply Tableau/PowerBI for analytics, and mentor team members while operating in a hybrid work environment.

The role emphasizes governance leadership, data architecture documentation, and ongoing improvement of data management practices across initiatives.

Qualifications

• Understanding of master data in procurement and data governance processes and frameworks.
• Project and/or program management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
• Experience working with business intelligence tools, such as Tableau, or PowerBI, and dashboard development a big plus.
• Any prior experience managing environmental, social and governance initiatives is a big plus.
• Understanding of SQL or similar query language to get the most out of data visualization is a plus.
• Understanding of procurement processes and analytical software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate stakeholder discussions to understand their data governance needs and challenges.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data governance strategies and best practices.
• Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Utilize Tableau for data processing, analytics, and governance activities.
• Conduct assessments of data quality and compliance with governance policies.
• Provide recommendations for improvements in data management and governance processes.
• Document data architecture designs, standards, and best practices, and provide guidance and support to ensure adherence across stakeholders.
• Train and mentor team members on data governance principles and tools.
• Provide stakeholder support, ensuring clear communication and understanding of technical solutions.
