Job summary

Targa Resources seeks a Lead, Data Governance to establish and operate an enterprise Center of Excellence for governed analytics and low-code development. Lead citizen-development enablement and drive adoption of Power BI standards across business units.

You will partner with governance and analytics leadership to deliver training, communities of practice, and data-literacy programs, ensuring trusted data, security, and lifecycle management across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 8+ years in BI, self-service analytics, data enablement, low-code, data governance, or related.
• 3+ years leading Citizen Development, BI Center of Excellence, or enterprise enablement programs.
• Deep Power BI experience: semantic models, DAX, Power Query, workspaces, deployment pipelines, governance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and operate the Citizen Development Center of Excellence with governance and a roadmap.
• Define standards and guardrails for citizen-developed Power BI reports and security.
• Develop the governed path from business environments to production with ownership and change control.
• Facilitate intake to determine best approach (citizen development, certified assets, centralized delivery).
• Create and lead enterprise Communities of Practice and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Develop data-literacy and self-service enablement programs for multiple user personas.
• Create templates, starter kits, playbooks, training materials, and reference solutions.
• Promote reuse of certified semantic models and governed data sources.
