Job summary

TransUnion LLC is seeking a Counsel, Legal to join our in-house team in the United States. You will partner with stakeholders across the business to negotiate vendor contracts, provide risk-aware guidance, and support privacy, information security, and third-party risk management initiatives.

With a JD and active license, you will drive practical legal decisions for a large public company, balancing business needs with compliance, and staying curious about emerging technologies and data privacy

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years of legal experience.
• Active license to practice law and good standing in applicable state(s) at start date.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating vendor/procurement contracts in IT, facilities, marketing, HR, and services.
• Interest in global data privacy laws and regulations.
• Strong commercial judgment with risk analysis and business recommendations.
• Creative problem-solving to balance business needs with risk.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies and new ideas.

Responsibilities

• Partner and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
• Support vendor contract negotiations.
• Work with cross-functional teams including privacy, information security, third party risk management, insurance, and more.
• Provide guidance on legal issues during existing contract relationships.
