Job summary

Brady Corporation seeks an Assistant General Counsel – Procurement to provide strategic legal advice on procurement activities. You will draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensure compliance with laws and company policies, and manage procurement risks.

The role reports to the General Counsel – IPS and is based in Charlotte, NC with a hybrid work schedule. The position involves advising on regulatory matters and complex procurement transactions across multiple industries.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required with 8+ years handling procurement contracts and agreements.
• Strong knowledge of contract law and procurement regulations.
• Ability to identify legal risks and provide practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate procurement contracts, supplier agreements, and related documents.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies in procurement matters.
• Collaborate with procurement and cross-functional teams to mitigate legal risks.
• Provide guidance on contract interpretation, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.
• Stay updated on applicable laws affecting procurement and supply chain operations.
• Support government contracting matters including flow-down obligations and bid/proposal support.
• Advise on regulatory compliance affecting procurement, commercial operations, and government sales.
