Stony Brook Medicine seeks a Contract Officer II / Procurement Associate to manage procurement transactions for medical and non-medical goods, including services, software, memberships, and IT contracts, across units in accordance with NYS Procurement Guidelines.

You will lead bid development, RFP/RFQ processes, vendor research, and contract issuance, coordinating with SUNY legal staff to ensure compliant awards and timely payments while maintaining detailed audit-ready records.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of Procurement experience. Or Associate’s degree and 5 years of Procurement experience.
• Excellent reading and writing skills required due to high volume of contract reading.
• Detail oriented with the ability to retain contract details and terms.

Mansioni

• Execute simple to mid-dollar value purchasing transactions for capital projects including construction related service contracts, equipment acquisitions, and Physical Plant acquisitions.
• Develop, solicit, and award sealed bids, RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs; prepare requisitions and approvals for user departments.
• Review vendor information, ensure compliance with NYS requirements, and expedite contracts and purchase orders for timely payment.
• Maintain audit compliant documents, records, and files.
• Work with MWBE/ SDVOB programs to maximize purchases from minority and woman-owned firms.
• Meet with users and vendors to obtain best pricing and product presentation.
