Our client, a rapidly expanding operator in the car wash industry, is entering a critical phase of post-integration execution and is seeking a Procurement Consultant to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and optimize total cost structures across key spend categories—primarily chemicals and spare parts.

This engagement goes beyond traditional procurement work, requiring a hands-on leader who can apply advanced cost modeling and value engineering to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities across a complex supply base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cost optimization efforts across two major direct spend areas: chemicals (used in tiered wash packages) and spare parts (tunnels, vacuums, signage, etc.).
• Evaluate formulation differences and dosing performance between multiple product tiers and suppliers.
• Assess equipment performance, chemical application efficiency, and capital upgrade opportunities.
• Analyze end-to-end supply chain costs, including freight, warehousing, and installation logistics.
• Execute sourcing strategies, including supplier engagement, RFP design, and contract negotiation.
• Partner closely with the COO to serve as the lead procurement strategist in the absence of a Director/VP of Procurement.

Qualifications:

• Significant expertise in direct procurement, ideally with consulting or strategic sourcing
• Strong background in Total Cost of Ownership, should-cost modeling, or value engineering.
• Experience in chemicals or spare parts procurement highly preferred.
