Remote – Procurement Category Manager

LHH has a client who needs a Remote – Procurement Category Manager on a contract opportunity!

Job Description

• Provides strategic direction for one or more procurement categories which may span across multiple organizations and/or geographies.
• May be accountable for one or more of the following activities:
• Category business needs assessment, development of overall category plan, execution of strategic sourcing activities (including development of RFx, vendor response analysis and contract negotiations) in line with category plan resulting in formal broad agreements with preferred category vendors, and development of vendor performance management plan for preferred vendors.
• Position will require contact with all levels of management at client and with vendors providing or bidding to provide services to client.

Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years of Procurement related experience required.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Candidate must possess excellent judgment, decision-making, problem solving and negotiating skills as well as a demonstrated track record of success in leading sourcing, contracting and negotiation efforts across multiple organizations and/or geographies.
• Ability to influence across organizational boundaries is essential.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
• Strong project management and analytical skills also required

Title: Procurement Category Manager

Location: Fully Remote (Central Time Preferred)

Pay range: $57 - $62/hour

Type: 12 Month Contract (with possibilities of extension and conversion)
