Job summary

Crissair, Inc. in Santa Clarita, CA seeks a Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing of raw materials, machined parts, and outside processing.

You will create POs, issue RFQs, and negotiate with suppliers to meet cost and delivery targets while aligning with production schedules. Responsibilities include monitoring lead times, supplier performance, and coordinating with accounting on invoicing discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2–4 years’ related experience or equivalent.
• Strong English reading/writing and ability to interpret documents.
• Proficiency in ERP/inventory systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with cost analysis, vendor negotiations and scheduling.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Create POs for raw materials, machined parts and services.
• Issue RFQs for components and outside processing.
• Negotiate prices and delivery dates with suppliers.
• Align deliveries to minimize inventory while meeting production needs.
• Assess risks and review lead times, safety stock and lot sizes.
• Monitor PO delinquencies and coordinate with accounting on invoices.
• Maintain suppliers’ schedules to support in-house production.
