Job summary

You will support supplier qualification, lead-time management, and cost-reduction initiatives while ensuring data integrity in the ERP system and contributing to supplier diversity goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of purchasing or production/inventory control experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Negotiation skills are required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in a team environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Procures materials to meet inventory and cost goals.
• Supports senior buyers and resolves invoice/receiving discrepancies.
• Assists supplier qualification and cross-functional audits.
• Places purchase orders and communicates scheduling requirements.
• Determines supplier lead times for components.
• Collaborates with engineering on new product development and specs.
• Supports cost reduction and supplier consolidation projects.
• Aids inventory management activities including vendor stocking.
• Supports minority-owned and small disadvantaged suppliers.
• Identifies risk materials with planning to prevent shortages.
• Maintains ERP data integrity for item masters and buying activity.
• Assists expediting and de-expediting PO releases.
• Supports quality dept in resolving supplier quality issues.
