Job summary

Valve Solutions is seeking a motivated Buyer to support the Logistics and Materials teams in optimizing procurement, production planning, inventory control, and logistics for our valve lines.

The role involves data analysis, supplier coordination, RFQs, and maintaining ERP records. Entry-level candidates with internship experience in supply chain are encouraged; a High School Diploma is required, and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. This is an on-site role in the Houston area.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of purchasing practices, principles and procedures.
• Exposure to customer and vendor interactions and real‑world problem‑solving is expected.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and Word.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing material for assigned inventory and non-stock items.
• Investigating and determining what/how/why material came in incorrectly or damaged.
• Reviewing min-max or order inventory stock levels.
• Assist with procurement and supplier coordination, including issuing RFQs and tracking deliveries.
• Support inventory management and material planning processes to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Analyze data to generate insights on supplier performance, cost trends, and logistics efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve lead times, reduce excess inventory, and enhance workflow.
• Help maintain accurate records in ERP systems and generate reports as needed.
