General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Procurement Specialist I to develop sourcing strategies, evaluate suppliers, and negotiate contracts for assigned categories, helping ensure compliant, efficient purchasing operations.

Candidates must have an Associate's Degree with 0–3 years' experience (or equivalent), strong Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to work in a team to meet deadlines and drive value.

Formación

• Associate's Degree with 0–3 years' experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsabilidades

• Develops and executes sourcing strategy, evaluates product offerings, negotiates contracts for assigned categories or departments.
• Gathers business requirements and identifies and pre-qualifies potential suppliers.
• Develops and distributes RFPs/RFQs and collects bids or other information.
• Evaluates proposals/quotes based on quality, cost, and other criteria; recommends suppliers.
• Works with suppliers to develop mutually acceptable contractual agreements.
• Oversees tactical purchasing operations such as purchase orders or invoices while ensuring policy/regulatory compliance.
