Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Buyer I for our on-site role in Youngsville, NC. This 1-year contract offers a pay rate of $27.00 to $29.81 per hour (W2) and requires a Bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years of purchasing experience.

The position focuses on sourcing, negotiations, and supplier relations to ensure timely material delivery. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential, along with US person eligibility or ITAR/EAR export control eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of hands‑on experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and detail-oriented recordkeeping skills.
• Must meet U.S. Person requirements or be eligible for export control license under ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Source & Procure: Review purchase requests, identify suppliers, and request quotes to procure essential goods and services efficiently.
• Negotiate & Execute: Evaluate supplier bids and negotiate terms and pricing to secure maximum value before issuing purchase orders and contracts.
• Track & Expedite: Monitor order status, track delivery schedules, and resolve delays to keep projects on schedule.
• Manage Relationships: Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to resolve pricing or quality discrepancies and evaluate vendor performance.
