Job summary

Core Laboratories Inc. in Houston is seeking a Buyer I to support daily purchasing activities and ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services for Operations. You will process requisitions, issue purchase orders, obtain supplier quotations, and maintain purchasing records.

You will monitor inventory, assist with replenishment, evaluate supplier proposals, and communicate with internal customers to support quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day purchasing activities to meet operational requirements.
• Generate purchase orders for goods and services from approved requisitions.
• Request supplier quotations and compare pricing, availability, and delivery.
• Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment.
• Follow up on order status, deliveries, and shipment tracking.
• Review purchasing requests for accuracy.
• Assist with basic invoice discrepancies and shipping issues.
• Maintain purchasing records and supplier files.
