Core Laboratories in Houston, TX seeks a Buyer I to support daily purchasing activities and collaborate with Operations to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services. You will generate purchase orders from approved requisitions, request supplier quotes and track orders while maintaining accurate records.

This entry-level role emphasizes attention to detail, strong communication with internal customers and suppliers, and the use of Excel and ERP systems.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of purchasing or related experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Support day-to-day purchasing activities to meet operational requirements.
• Generate purchase orders for goods and services based on approved requisitions.
• Request quotations from suppliers and compare pricing, availability, and delivery information.
• Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment activities.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding order status, deliveries, and shipment tracking.
• Review purchasing requests for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in resolving basic invoice discrepancies and shipping issues.
• Maintain purchasing records, supplier files, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Provide administrative support to Supply Chain and Operations teams.
