RWE Americas, LLC is seeking an O&M Procurement Associate based in Austin, TX. This full-time, permanent role focuses on company-wide purchasing of spares and services for Operations across the Americas, including wind, solar, and BESS facilities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year in procurement/contract management, SAP/SAP Ariba experience, and strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills. Travel in North America is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; engineering degree is an advantage.
• 1 year minimum experience in construction, energy, chemical, or related industries with large capital projects.
• Experience with procurement and contract management.
• Experience using SAP and SAP Ariba or equivalent systems.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and ability to influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities for parts and services for wind, solar, and BESS projects.
• Support internal stakeholders including Category Manager, Inventory, Operations, Asset Management & Engineering; keep sites operational.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policy and processes.
• Track forecasted value and savings; process purchase requisitions daily.
• Develop supplier relationships and negotiate to contract award; manage risk and scope with internal customers.

The O&M Procurement Associate is responsible for the company-wide management of purchasing spares and services for Operations. Be the front-end contact and support for operations across the Americas. Ability to manage spare parts and services for wind (onshore), solar, and energy storage electric generating facilities.

Based in Austin, TX.

Role Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of Purchasing activities which includes the parts and services associated with installing the parts for the RWE Americas business encompassing onshore wind farms and Solar and BESS farms in the Americas.
• The focus shall be to support internal stake holders: Category Manager, Inventory., Operations, Asset Management & Engineering amd make sure Sites (Eind, Solar & BESS) are operational.
• Ensure compliance with Procurement policy and processes.
• Track and ensure achievement of forecasted value and savings targets including productivity plans with suppliers, including clearing of Purchase requisitions on a daily basis
• Ensure interfaces with Key internal stakeholders to optimize cost & efficiencies of each operational site.
• Clearly ensure day to day management of Requests and develop scope of work jointly with internal customers to mitigate risks.
• Drive negotiations to the point of contract award with the technical / asset management teams.
• Build and maintain effective supplier relationships to ensure that their performance consistently meets, and at times exceed, business expectations.
• Develop strong and effective internal relationships with all levels of the business to ensure that business requirements are reflected within contractual documentation.
• Supplier management, negotiations for key contracts and claim management / negotiations with suppliers.

Job Requirements and Experience

• Bachelor's degree required. An engineering degree will be an advantage
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction, energy, chemical, or other industry with large, capital investment projects, with a focus on procurement and contract management.
• First-hand experience with Procurement and contracts.
• Working experience in SAP and SAP Ariba Systems or equivalent systems, to develop an efficient process for ordering and tracking spare parts.
• Good problem identification and solving skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate at a high level with internal and external decision makers.
• Ability to influence people and decisions to drive high performance and result orientation
• Lead projects of moderate scope and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Very strong commercial acumen and ability to develop cost models and cost benefit analysis.
• Willingness to travel in North America as required
