Job summary

CellSite Solutions, LLC is seeking a Procurement and Inventory Manager to report to the COO and oversee inventory, purchasing, and supplier relations. You will maintain accurate procurement records in our financial system and drive vendor decisions to maximize gross profitability across projects.

You will lead a small team (Sr. Buyer, Inventory Control Specialist, and Material Handlers), oversee daily workflows, and collaborate with Operations, Sales, Finance, and Estimating to ensure accurate

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with coursework in purchasing and/or inventory control management.
  • At least five years of buying or purchasing experience, with supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the purchases of supplies, materials, and parts for the company.
  • Manages vendor/subcontractor onboarding and compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, prices, buyers, and delivery conditions to anticipate future material availability; directs purchasing programs accordingly.
  • Develops and maintains inventory databases for supplies and materials used.
  • Assists and oversees physical inventory audits and monthly cycle counts.
  • Negotiates and completes contracts with vendors for optimal cost and delivery times.
  • Creates, reviews, and approves purchase orders, ensuring adherence to company and departmental guidelines.
  • Collaborates with other departments and leadership to maximize efficiency in the purchasing and inventory control department.
  • Communicates with suppliers to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.
  • Set authorization limits for purchasing staff.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to purchasing and inventory control with the goal of maximizing efficiency and optimizing workflow.
  • Troubleshoot invoicing issues as they arise with the Accounts Payables department.
  • Ensure we maintain or obtain Tax Exempt/Reseller certification in the various states where we purchase products that will be resold and charged tax at the time of sale to the customer.
  • Monitors outstanding Purchase Orders and alignment with the production schedule lead time needs, communicating any gaps or issues to provide crosses or secondary vendors if needed.

Procurement and Inventory Manager
Job Summary:

The Procurement and Inventory Manager reports to the COO and will maintain the organization’s inventory, ordering and supplying necessary items while maintaining accurate records of all procurements within the financial software. This role is also responsible for strategic vendor management and driving purchasing decisions to maximize gross profitability for the organization. This position will perform administrative and clerical duties for the Inventory and Purchasing department as required, working closely with Operations, Sales, Finance, and Estimating Teams to maximize efficiency and accurate project budgeting.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Manages direct reports: Sr. Buyer, Inventory Control Specialist, and Material Handlers
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
  • Oversee the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with coursework in purchasing and/or inventory control management, preferred.
  • At least five years of buying or purchasing experience is required, with supervisory experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to navigate the warehouse and reach items both high and low.
  • May be asked to travel to visit vendors or different company locations.
