Job summary

Wakefern Food Corp. seeks a Procurement Analyst to support procurement staff, retail operations, and cooperative members across banners. You will manage ordering, replenishment for warehouse inventory, and data integrity to ensure efficient operations.

You will analyze inventory levels, generate purchase orders, monitor service levels, and track performance metrics while collaborating with Inventory Control and suppliers to optimize costs and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in part-time classes.
• Supermarket or retail experience (minimum two years preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Well-developed computer skills in Office and Wakefern-specific programs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze inventory levels for replenishment needs and forecasts.
• Generate and manage purchase orders to avoid stockouts.
• Monitor service level objectives for timely fulfillment.
• Develop metrics to track procurement performance against goals.
• Coordinate with Inventory Control to reconcile discontinued items.
• Expedite RTV processes for overstocks and discontinued items.
• Stay informed on seasonal trends and supplier options.
• Update plan-o-gram changes and item data records.
• Partner with suppliers to meet delivery terms and lead times.
