Job summary

Wakefern Food Corp. is seeking a Project Engineer in Logistics to drive successful delivery of multi-site projects, coordinating with Engineering, Finance, Procurement and Operations. You will plan, track and report on project scope, schedule and budget while guiding resource allocation and vendor collaboration.

You will analyze store delivery, fleet and warehouse processes to identify improvements, develop business cases and advance best practices in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required; concentration in Business Management, Engineering, Project Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in warehouse systems design.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to lead meetings and drive outcomes.
• Exceptional analytical skills to decipher data, draw conclusions and inform decisions.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and solving problems under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional project teams for logistics infrastructure projects and maintain project plans.
• Analyze and improve delivery schedules, routes and dispatch to reduce costs and improve on-time performance.
• Develop business cases, ROI projections and implementation recommendations for fleet initiatives and EV adoption.
• Evaluate warehouse layouts, slotting and workflows to boost productivity and accuracy.
