Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Analyst to optimize inventories and maximize cash flow. You will place orders with vendors, monitor quantities, and coordinate deliveries to on-site users.

The role includes cross-functional collaboration and handling special projects as directed by your supervisor. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred), knowledge of purchasing processes, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of facility purchasing procedures, computer system, and purchase order process.
• Previous purchasing experience is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at work level for safety and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maximize cash flow for the company through effective management of inventories.
• Place purchase orders with established vendors for a variety of customers.
• Check quantities required, when required, and probable consumption.
• Consult departments when substitutions are necessary and follow up on delinquent deliveries.
• Coordinate item delivery from supplier to on-site user and monitor delivery promises.
• Handle additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned by supervisor.

What You’ll Do As a Procurement Analyst

• Maximize cash flow for the company through effective management of inventories.
• Place purchase orders with established vendors for a variety of customers.
• Check quantities required, when required, and probable consumption.
• Consult departments involved when substitutions may be necessary and follow up on delinquent deliveries.
• Keep abreast of changes in delivery promises and assist in coordinating item delivery from supplier to on-site user.
• This position has additional responsibilities. Special projects may be assigned at the position supervisor’s discretion.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a Procurement Analyst

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
• Have a thorough knowledge of facility purchasing procedures, computer system, and purchase order process.
• Previous purchasing experience a plus.
• Be competent with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
