You will review purchase order requisitions, support business units with data-driven insights, and act as a subject matter expert on inventory, demand planning, and supply chain management.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years in procurement, inventory planning, supply chain analytics or related roles.
  • Experience with demand planning tools and data-driven decision making.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, forecasting, and procurement workflows.
  • Excellent communication for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to manipulate large datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Review, validate, and approve purchase order requisitions for accuracy.
  • Maintain inventory levels across multiple distribution centers.
  • Analyze demand forecasts, supply plans, and inventory performance metrics.
  • Create reports and dashboards to support decision making in procurement and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Finance, Operations, and business units to optimize processes.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, proposing corrective actions.

SUMMARY: Almo is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Procurement Analyst to join our Planning & Procurement Center of Excellence. This role is central to ensuring accurate and efficient procurement operations across the company. The Procurement Analyst will review and approve purchase order requisitions, support business units with data-driven insights, and serve as a subject matter expert on inventory, demand planning, and supply chain management.This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with large data sets, and can effectively communicate complex information to cross-functional teams.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Procurement & Planning OperationsAnalyze, validate, and approve purchase order requisitions to ensure accuracy and alignment with company goals.Maintain and optimize inventory levels across multiple distribution centers.Monitor supply plans, demand forecasts, and inventory performance metrics.Identify discrepancies, shortages, or planning risks and proactively recommend corrective actions.Business Analytics & ReportingConduct ad-hoc analysis to support business units, finance, distribution centers, and operationsDevelop meaningful reports and dashboards that support decision-making on inventory, procurement, and forecasting.Provide insights into buying trends, lead times, stock availability, and demand variability.Analyze large data sets to identify patterns, opportunities, and risks.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Purchasing, Category Management, Operations, Finance, and Business Unit leaders to support company performance objectives.Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Train and support users in understanding procurement and planning processes, tools, and best practices.Process & Tool OptimizationLeverage demand planning tools to support forecasting and planning accuracy.Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance procurement efficiency and inventory health.Support the development and documentation of planning standards and procedures.Required QualificationsDegree or Certification in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or related field.Experience working with a demand planning tool is required (e.g., Blue Ridge, SAP IBP, O9, GAINS, StockIQ, or similar).2–5 years of experience in procurement, inventory planning, supply chain analysis, or related roles.Strong knowledge of inventory management, forecasting, supply chain principles, and procurement workflows.Advanced proficiency in Excel and large data set manipulation; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.Preferred QualificationsExperience in a distribution, wholesale, or consumer goods environment.Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).Experience building reports, dashboards, or forecasting models.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.What We OfferCompetitive compensation and benefits package.A collaborative and supportive team environment.The ability to make a meaningful impact on inventory performance and operational efficiency.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Degree or Certification in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or related field.Experience working with a demand planning tool is required (e.g., Blue Ridge, SAP IBP, O9, GAINS, StockIQ, or similar).2–5 years of experience in procurement, inventory planning, supply chain analysis, or related roles.Strong knowledge of inventory management, forecasting, supply chain principles, and procurement workflows.Advanced proficiency in Excel and large data set manipulation; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a distribution, wholesale, or consumer goods environment.Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).Experience building reports, dashboards, or forecasting models.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.What We Offer:Competitive compensation and benefits package.A collaborative and supportive team environment.The ability to make a meaningful impact on inventory performance and operational efficiency.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
