Supply Chain Management (SCM) Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced SCM Procurement Specialist to ensure the procurement of goods and services for various projects, meeting quality, delivery, budget, and customer satisfaction standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain sourcing procurement plans for assigned projects.
• Lead negotiations for major project purchases across all commodities, utilizing department resources and adhering to supplier agreements.
• Expand Emerging Market (EM) sourcing opportunities and develop relationships with EM suppliers in regions such as China, India, Mexico, and Eastern Europe.
• Understand and apply the company’s full-cost models for project budgeting.
• Lead sourcing committee meetings and document decisions.
• Participate in project meetings and risk reviews.
• Ensure on-time delivery for all project purchases.
• Recommend and approve new suppliers following SCM guidelines.
• Manage multiple active projects simultaneously.
• Issue purchase orders and resolve invoice issues with Shared Accounting Services.
• Coordinate with commodity buyers on bid processes, including RFQ development, bid analysis, and sourcing recommendations.
• Support sourcing decisions throughout the purchase lifecycle.
• Resolve supplier disputes effectively.

Dimensions:

• Manage sourcing for projects up to $15 million annually.
• Oversee multiple projects and support up to 3 buyers.
• Work globally across various programs and proposals.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of SCM experience with a focus on procurement.
• High School diploma required; BA/BS degree preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
• Negotiation skills and training required.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• At least 5 years of experience in automation tooling or similar fields, with a preference for custom-designed production systems.
