Job summary

OpenAI in San Francisco is seeking a hands-on Business Systems Lead for Procure-to-Pay to design, build, and operate integrations and first-party applications powering procurement workflows. You will translate business needs into secure, scalable software, APIs, and data flows across Oracle Fusion, Zip, and connected platforms.

You will own the technical roadmap and support model for these capabilities, improving platforms while deciding where to integrate, configure, or build as OpenAI scales.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in enterprise integrations or business systems engineering.
• Able to write, test, and debug production code (Python/TypeScript).
• Experience with Oracle Fusion and procurement/payables processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate integrations across Oracle Fusion, Zip, and connected systems.
• Create first-party procurement apps and backend services for intake, approvals, and supplier onboarding.
• Write maintainable code with tests, reviews, and repeatable deployment processes.
• Define data contracts and durable identifiers for traceable transactions.
• Engineer reliable processing with validation, retries, and monitoring.
• Develop AI-enabled workflows using OpenAI tech with proper controls and audit trails.
• Make targeted configuration changes in Oracle Fusion/Zip with partners.
