Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey and Phi is seeking a Processor at the Whitman Plaza Store in Philadelphia, PA. The role involves sorting, processing, pricing, tagging, and stocking softline and hardline goods to maximize store profitability.

You may rotate as Softline or Hardline specialist and could be cross-trained into related duties. Responsibilities include following policies, ensuring item quality, assisting donors and customers, and maintaining a neat, safe work area.

  • Process incoming softline and hardline goods and maintain quality.
  • Generate sales from processed items during production periods.
  • Maintain accurate and consistent prices for items and housewares.
  • Perform Barcoder and Donation-Utility duties as needed; cross-train for other roles.
  • Stock the sales floor and keep areas neat and orderly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors and customers.

Job Details
  • Job Location: Whitman Plaza Store - Philadelphia, PA 19148
  • Salary Range: $16.50 - $16.50 Hourly
  • Travel Percentage: None

The Processor sorts, processes, and stocks softline and hardline goods. This position prices and tags items to achieve highest dollar return and assumes responsibility for quality of donations processed. Processors will be assigned as Softline or Hardline specialists and are promoted from Processor Trainees into this title.

SPECIFIC DUTIES
  1. Follow all Goodwill policies and safety procedures. Must possess professional etiquette.
  2. Responsible to process all incoming softline and hardline goods as assigned, including clothing, household, and furniture items. Maintains high quality in processing goods.
  3. Generates a minimum of $10,00.00 in store sales from items processed during every two week production period.
  4. Maintains accurate and consistent prices for selected items or housewares. Empties containers and separates acceptable clothing, wares, collectables/antiques, and bin items.
  5. Performs duties as Barcoder and Donation-Utility Associate when needed. If working at Benigno Retail Operations Center, performs duties as a Material Handler, Baler, and Warehouse Helper when needed. Will receive additional cross-training as Customer Service Associate.
  6. Stocking sales floor as assigned.
  7. Keeps work area and surrounding area neat, clean, and orderly.
  8. Follows all customer service guidelines; strives to provide exceptional customer service at all times.
  9. Assist customers/donors as required, including accepting donations and selling merchandise.
  10. Regular attendance is required.
  11. All other duties as assigned.
