Mixlab, a modern pet pharmacy in New York, is seeking a Processing Technician to prepare accurate medication orders for our pet parents, working closely with pharmacists and the logistics team.

You’ll verify data, label and pack orders, maintain records and inventory, and help improve quality and efficiency while staying compliant with NY regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders by confirming data, counting, labeling medications, and packing
• Ensure accuracy of patient information and records, update as necessary
• Check for completeness of prescriptions
• Handle customer interactions in a friendly and professional manner
• Partner with pharmacists and logistics to troubleshoot issues and drive efficiency
• Maintain records and monitor inventory per NY State Board of Pharmacy and federal regulations
• Keep an organized work area and maintain pharmacy appearance
• Cross-train across Mixlab functions including customer service, logistics, and compounding
• Champion the pet parent experience by recommending digital process changes and troubleshooting bugs
• Perform other related duties as required by management

Job description

• As a Processing Technician at Mixlab, you'll play an important role in preparing accurate, high quality medication orders for our pet parents while helping keep our pharmacy operations running smoothly. You'll work closely with pharmacists and our logistics team to process and package prescriptions, maintain accurate records and inventory, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve the customer experience. We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative, customer focused, and thrives in a fast paced environment.

What you'll do

• Prepare orders for our pet parents by confirming customer data; counting, filling and labeling medications; and packing orders
• Ensure accuracy of patient information and records, and update as necessary
• Check for completeness of prescriptions
• Handle customer interactions in a friendly and professional manner
• Partner with pharmacists and logistics team to troubleshoot issues, work on special projects to improve quality and efficiency, and drive a smooth operation
• Keep accurate records and monitor inventory levels in accordance with New York State Board of Pharmacy & Federal regulations and company policies and procedures
• Maintain an organized work area and upkeep the appearance of the pharmacy
• Cross-train across other Mixlab functions over time including customer service, logistics, and compounding
• Champion the pet parent experience by recommending digital process changes and troubleshooting bugs
• Performs other related duties, responsibilities, and assignments as required by management to meet business needs.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Must be able to move boxes holding medications weighing up to 25lbs across the office
