Job summary

Mixlab is seeking a Processing Technician to prepare and package medication orders for pets, work with pharmacists and logistics, and maintain accurate records. This role emphasizes accuracy, customer focus, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

The position is part-time (28 hours/week) with Sundays and major holidays closed and includes a sign-on bonus. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, collaborative, and capable of adapting to evolving processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders by confirming customer data, counting, filling and labeling medications, and packing orders.
• Ensure accuracy of patient information and records; update as necessary.
• Check prescriptions for completeness.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and logistics to troubleshoot, improve quality and efficiency, and drive smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor inventory per regulations and policies.
• Keep a tidy work area and maintain pharmacy appearance.
• Cross-train across Mixlab functions over time (customer service, logistics, compounding).
• Suggest process changes to improve the pet parent experience and troubleshoot issues.

Job description

As a Processing Technician at Mixlab, you’ll play an important role in preparing accurate, high quality medication orders for our pet parents while helping keep our pharmacy operations running smoothly. You’ll work closely with pharmacists and our logistics team to process and package prescriptions, maintain accurate records and inventory, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve the customer experience. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative, customer focused, and thrives in a fast paced environment.

This is a PART TIME role offering 28 hours weekly

CLOSED on Sundays and ALL Major Holidays

What you'll do

• Prepare orders for our pet parents by confirming customer data; counting, filling and labeling medications; and packing orders
• Ensure accuracy of patient information and records, and update as necessary
• Check for completeness of prescriptions
• Handle customer interactions in a friendly and professional manner
• Partner with pharmacists and logistics team to troubleshoot issues, work on special projects to improve quality and efficiency, and drive a smooth operation
• Keep accurate records and monitor inventory levels in accordance with New York State Board of Pharmacy & Federal regulations and company policies and procedures
• Maintain an organized work area and upkeep the appearance of the pharmacy
• Cross-train across other Mixlab functions over time including customer service, logistics, and compounding
• Champion the pet parent experience by recommending digital process changes and troubleshooting bugs
• Performs other related duties, responsibilities, and assignments as required by management to meet business needs.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Must be able to move boxes holding medications weighing up to 25lbs across the office
• You have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - and are a collaborative, team-player
