Job summary

America's Thrift Stores in Phenix City, AL is seeking a part-time Processing Team Member to help sort donated items and prepare treasures for the floor. You’ll assist in identifying recyclables and maintain an organized, efficient workspace.

You will join a friendly, diverse team and contribute to our mission of reducing waste and supporting community partners through steady, hands-on work each shift.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift items.
• A team player with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Sort donated items and identify great finds.
• Identify recyclable items and keep them out of landfills.
• Prepare merchandise for the sales floor.
• Load and unload carts safely and efficiently.

What Does a Processing Team Member Do Anyway?

• Sort donated items and identify great finds
• Help identify recyclable items. Even if we can't sell it, we keep it out of the landfill
• Get those great finds sales floor ready
• Load and unload carts to get merchandise out safely and efficiently

Whether we are hanging the perfect jeans (thrifting one pairof jeans saves the world 1,800 gallons of water ya know!) or separating out recyclable materials, we combine our passion for customers and community service.
